All these new blogs… and a secret contest (traffic course for free?)

by Adam on December 9, 2008

****************************

FRIDAY UPDATE: Wow! I’ve been blown away by all the comments and experiences everyone is having!

We’re coming into the home stretch here–I’m going to be extending the contest over the weekend

to give everyone a chance who is just getting their blogs up and running right now.

Keep an eye out on Monday as I announce the winner here

and give out a secret link to my underground traffic course!

****************************

UPDATE: 36 hours to go on the contest!

Man–the hits have been crazy today, and the comments keep pouring in!

Keep ‘em coming!

We’re at 23 comments right now–with a dollar for each comment

Updated Price: $74

You’re going to have to keep spreading the word and keep the comments coming

….if you’re gonna be lucky enough to get my underground traffic course for free… :-)

Spread the word to 5 people on the blogroll–you’ve only got 36 hours to go!!!!!

****************************

UPDATE: 48 Hours to go on the contest!

I’ve been fielding e-mails and comments all day–the response has been great so far!

Thank you to all of you who have commented and helped spread the word.

we want to get everyone’s amazing experiences on here.

and if you guys really want me to give this away to you for *free*…

you’ll need to help spread the word and e-mail or comment on 3 other student’s blogs.

****************************

I was just looking at all these blogs on the different blog rolls out there–and man! I have been blown away with all of the talents in the group, and all of the amazing action that everyone has been taking!

I’ve seen a lot of people with some pretty incredible results already, and I’m proud of people taking action creating a blog for the first time!

I was reading about the special award on Coleen Cook’s blog (AKA Queen Snitch…and Teacher’s Pet), and then over on “Gary-Land”, and also over with Garry Parkes and his amazing newsletter and seeing all of the talents and experiences that everyone is having, and I had this idea…I wanted to put together everyone’s experiences with their new blogs and the coaching program. And I wanted to give out a real award to all of you who are taking some pretty incredible action right now in your online businesses!

Some people may think I’m crazy, and I’m not talking about any of this “nickel” stuff–I’m talking $1 for every experience and comment on this post!

Here’s the deal—just write your comment below on this post about your new blog and Alex’s coaching course–the action you have taken and the results you have seen so far—and for every comment, I’m going to be dropping the price of my Social Traffic Explosion course that I sell for $97. (Now this is a fast-paced course showing you how to get tons of free social traffic using underground traffic tactics, jam-packed with 8 videos, audios, and transcripts for you to plug and play in your business.)

So for the next 72 hours, I’m going to open up the comments of your new experiences with your blogs and the coaching, and then we’ll tally all of the comments, dropping the price of my course by $1 for each comment. (Just think about it…with all of the people in Alex’s coaching program, I’ll be giving this course away for *free* with all of the comments pouring in!!!)

PLUS - The person with best comment/experience will get a full 60 minutes coaching session with me personally working on your business! (And I’ve been working with Alex Jeffreys, Rich Schefren, Jeff Walker, Michael Cheney, Mike Filsaime…these marketers have been the key in getting my online business up and running so quickly, and I’ll be able to show you the same things in your business that they have done for me and mine in such a short amount of time.)

Now, a lot of people have been commenting on my blog about my new ebook and my free videos, and I’ve been answering a ton of e-mails helping people get started–I’ll still be doing all of that. But for the person with the best comment, I’m going to be able to work with you one-on-one in your business for a full 60 minutes.

So, post your comments, spread the word on all of the blog rolls and tell all your friends –and look out for my post in 72 hours with the contest results and the winner of my 60 minute coaching session!

Hi Adam,

Well allow me to go first…

Great idea.

People need a reason to go to a blog – either information… like I am trying to provide or entertainment like Coleen is delivering over at “Snitchville” as I have been calling it.

If you find a niche that educates or entertains people then the PEEPS, as Dean Holland calls them, will come.

It ain’t a case of “build it and they will come.” Uh-uh! You need to build it and then give them a reason to come – and they will. If they like their fiirst experience they will be back. And even better… they will tell others – just like you have done.

Thanks for the email Adam and catchya later!

Come on folks – DRIVE the price of Adam’s product down so we all get it for ZIP – LOL!

Gary Simpson

PS: Adam, if you drop a few hints or maybe just some blatant comments around some of the other blogs you will have people here in their droves. Everyone likes something for nada. Free is the most popular word on the internet – LOL!

Dean Holland December 9, 2008 at 10:41 pm

Yo Yo

Sounds like someone got a monster comment pulling plan on their hands eh bro ?!?!?

Nice 1, I love your business sense ;)

Best of luck with it, gte ready to hand your hard earned work out on a silver platter bruv .. lol

Hi Adam,

Great idea to pull some massive commenting.

You should make it public on the live discussion after module 3 and you will surely be giving it away.

That would be great because I am into the whole web 2.0 thing.

Coleen December 10, 2008 at 5:39 am

Hi Adam,

Good business is all about smart business and over-delivering when it comes to value ON TOP of giving something away for free is a very savy business move…..end result…traffic, ranking, relationships with your LIST. And so on the cycle goes.

You have created genuine interest and combined it with fun, by opening up a competition!!

Can you please drop by my place (blog) and give me your valuable opinion on my own business idea for developing Cols The Queen Snitch into a series of childrens stories…the twist will be that each story will contain a very sound business lesson.

I currently have a Web 2.0 package sitting on my office desk that I bought for my son, however he hasn’t used it, so I am now going to have to put that to good use myself….learning from you would certainly help I would say….considering that’s were it’s all at when it comes to information marketing!

Nadeem Ahmad December 10, 2008 at 8:41 am

Adam,

I really admire your business sense. I’m not here to win or anything but I will indeed put in my two cents.

One of the greatest things that get me going and doing what I do here online is my circumstances, my promises and my family.

At current, like many of us here ( I think ) I’m working a job. Mankind’s modern form of slavery. At least that’s what I think of it. I average 10 hr days at work and about 3 hours commuting back and forth. 5 days a week. But this isn’t what drives me to do what I’m doing.
Before I got my job: I hit rock bottom. And I hit it hard. For some time due to my “dreaming of being rich” and living in “la la land” I’ve suffered and made my family suffer.
And really its hard to put into words. But I can describe only my turning point: Imagine husband, wife and a 14 month old. Hard to get a job. Three months of interviews a tough economy (as we can all see) and no solid income. An injured back (from a motor vehicle accident, so physical labor was really out of the question but I was never scared to do it). Sold all my furniture, my personal belongings just to make two ends meet (till nothing was left, but a mere mattress to sleep on). Begging and borrowing from family – and not always getting the support I really needed. And at a few times, (thankfully, only a few days of my life) having just enough money and food to feed my son and my wife.
And till this day, I’m thankful for my hard times. They have changed me in ways that I could never be able to express – even if I tried. And I will NEVER forget them, for they keep me humble.

I promised myself never to give up. It’s not in me, to give up. (Recently there was a post at Gary-Land regarding what I would like to learn from Alex Jeffreys Mentorship program: Everything I can. And do everything he tells me, to the best of my ability. Because I know ( I can feel it ) there is nothing more in this world that will make me as successful as I want to be other than this business.

As for my family, can’t do what I did in the past again. I want to make sure that my family, my children get to do all things they want – especially for my son. He should be able to do all the things I didn’t get a chance to do when I was growing up.

Thanks. And I hope I didn’t say too much. And I know Adam, you are successful online but there is so much more to conquer. I’m sure you’d agree we only limit ourselves by the scope of our thoughts. Each and everyone of us have big hearts, big dreams, and big goals we just have to connect with our inner potential.

Adam, you will be a leader in this industry – you’re going to be the next Tabasco Sauce of the internet.

Thanks!

Hi Adam,

Interesting post, hope you get loads of responses. Here goes I am new to all this uploading files etc. however I am determined to succeed.

I first of all set up my blog, I did not go to Hostgator for my hosting as I live in the U.K. and have had several bad experiences with hosting that is not in the U.K. with other things I have tried. So I went to another hosting company. I have not been very good at writing but I just put pen to paper and had a go. So my blog was up and running which I found quite easy except for a few hiccups.

I managed to get my ppp up very quickly despite having a few problems. No sign ups or sales yet but early days.
I have not seen Module 3 yet as I missed the coaching call so I am waiting for it to go in the members area.

My next step is to try and work out how to get traffic to the site. I have read other blogs where they already at least have some sign ups. I am sure I will be there soon.

Regards
Christine

Heya Adam!! I love your website, I added it yo my blogroll…how long you’ve been doing this for? Your articles are great!!!! Love what you’ve done to the place :) You’re going to do really well at making money online, I know it!

David December 10, 2008 at 9:15 pm

Adam,

I got my new blog up really quick because I am good at the tech end of things. I am trying to build a blog that helps my readers in there marketing.

Alex Jeffreys coaching is something I hope will take me to a level in my business that will allow me to quit my offline job. So far it is helping me get the whole thing together in my head.

What have I done so far to promote my blog?

I have posted on several students blogs to offer my videos and help setting up there blog. I have ordered several articles to post to article directories. I have payed for directory submissions, and started looking for ways to get back links to my blog. I need to figure out how to get my list started to be ready for what Alex has in store for us.

I love helping people and want to help everyone I can get there business going. I need to learn a lot about traffic and will visit as many of the fellow student blogs to see what they are doing.

Hi Adam

Thanks for dropping by my blog – there are so many blogs up and running now there are lots of places that those who are new to all this can find help and support.

I’m so glad to have this opportunity to join in with something near the beginning. It is not always possible to listen to the whole of Alex’s sessions as they start at 11pm UK time and I have to get up at 6.30 am to look after my family. I’ve also had some difficulty with downloading the sessions later so I still have some catching up to do.

However with all the support from everyone else I am sure that we can all take one another along to where we want to be. In the training I have done I know that I have learnt as much from the other students as I have from the teachers. I’m sure that this will be the same here. Together we are so much stronger and able to help those who are not able to perhaps do as much as those who are more experienced.

Let us all encourage one another so that we can all achieve our aims, whatever they may be.

The training so far has been really good in taking us through all the steps we need and encouraging us to get going. Alex’s videos have been a real help – I never thought I should be doing what I have done already. I’m sure that so many of us feel this.

It’s great!

Hi Adam,

Wow, what a great idea! I hope everyone jumps on board and the price plummets … since you’re offering, right?!

Okay, so I’ve got my blog up and I had tons of questions. I’m amazed at the community brought together by Alex’s coaching. Everyone, including you, has been so helpful to answer my questions. There’s one that hasn’t been answered yet, in case you can help, and that’s how to add an RSS feed so folks can subscribe.

I’ve written an article and put that out on some major article directories, and now I’m in the process of putting the blog on the big blog directories as well as signing up for accounts on all the social networks shown on my blog so I can update all of them as to what’s happening. Also, have posted to several of my fellow students blogs. Lot’s of work, but kinda fun, too.

I’ve been trying to make money on-line for about a year and a half and have been scammed a few times. Very disheartening … but the strong endure … or maybe that’s the thick headed. Anyway, I’m sticking it out!! Still need help from the community, and/or you! Wish I had some useful knowledge that I could help people with, but before long, I will … maybe for the next batch of students.

Keep up the great work!

Hi Adam,

It took a true marketer’s mindset to come up with a contest, complete with incentive, to create a flurry of comments…well done!

I finally got my blog up and running, so now I’m trying to make the rounds, visiting all my ‘classmates’. I’ve seen some awesome examples so far, and I can’t wait to see where this takes us all.

Best wishes for everyone’s success!

Coleen, I’m coming to see you next! We women need to stick together amidst all this testosterone…LOL!

Great little contest idea Adam, and thanks for commenting on my blog. It took me some time to comment on each blog on my blogroll list! LOL….but we do what we must! :)

The cool thing is, that everyone and Alex is having fun with this. I am happy to finally start learning blogging and list building. I just never took the time, and yet have been online for over a year. Crazy….

I have been studying social marketing for awhile, and think I have the concept down and will be outsourcing as much of it as possible! ha!
It is tedious work, but there are a few automated services that help some.

Would love to see your course because “learning and applying” is my passion.

Hey Adam,
Great site . . . you’re a leader.

I took a day off yesterday to run errands and see my massage client and it looks like I got behind. Oh well, I’ll just continue on from here.

I know you’re busy, but your feedback on my blog would be much appreciated. I’m still learning how to work with Wordpress. (like everyone else, I’m sure.)

There is a new site where you can outsource your writing tasks . . . articles, blurbs, posts and it is a free membership. The cost of a 350 word article is $6. Great deal and it is recommended by someone I trust. I’ll be submitting my first request today and will let you know.

All the best,
Theresa

Hi Adam

I like your contest idea should get you lots of traffic to your blog. I have added you to my blogroll and hopefully Alex will add all of us to the members area shortly so that we can all add everyone to our blogrolls. If there was a simple way of adding multiple contacts at once it would save a lot of time.

Hi Adam

Great idea you got there, count me in!

I got behind on the Blog setup (too much putzing!) but last night during the Brainstorm, I finally got that 1st post up. I think I was in fear of the “writing part” and doing everything else but, to avoid it.
I now see the power we will have in this Community and I want to be a part of it.

My Bog still needs work, but first I am going to visit all the student blogs I can find and add a generic comment about adding to my Blogroll and vice versa. I will Post on that very subject so that everyone can add themselves in the comment section.

I will also make the list available to everyone to save time updating their lists.

Happy Blogging and see you in class!

Neat idea for generating comments.

I have an 8 day old blog. It was easy getting it online with a domaine name I bought at http://www.namecheap.com and hosting by http://www.hostgator.com I used fantastico in cpanel to launch it. Oh yes I did “shop” for a free theme to use.
I would still not have this blog up if it were not for the mentoring I received from Alex Jeffreys.
You have a good looking blog here, some interesting marketing ideas as well.

Good Luck

Hi Adam,

My question is regarding the various plugins…Which plugins should we install on our blog to streamline submitting our posts to the various social networking sites, social marketing sites, various directories?

If we can come up with a list that we recommend that everyone install that is going to benefit them, that may be a great help to everyone.

CommentLuv is another one that will help with linking, etc.

Cheers,

Joe Green December 14, 2008 at 5:16 pm

Hello Adam
This sounds like a good idea – but I think I only just found it in time.

Like everyone else I am amazed at what Alex is giving us and for the first time in many years of trying to make money on the internet I feel I have finally found a focus.

It’s hard work and I’m trying to keep up with having only a couple of hours each day to implement everything Alex has suggested.

I thought I’d installed Google Analytics last week but couldn’t see any results so I searched around a bit and found it hadn’t installed at all. But I think I’ve got it going now.

I’m also trying to ‘give’ something back to the students by offering access to ebooks, including .pdf ebooks, at http://FreeEbooksForLife.com and I’ve just written a short ebook to explain what changes need to be made to create your own ebook, ecourse or articles from one plr product. That link is on my blog and I hope to have a graphic for it next week.

Thanks for the competition and best wishes to you and all the other students.

Nigel Yip December 14, 2008 at 10:36 pm

Hey Adam

As promised my review for 30 Websites in 30 Days!!!! What a brilliant read it has been and it been very educational too in particular the traffic generating methods you mentioned in your ebook.

I knew the methods mentioned existed but I didn’t know where to begin and your ebook has certainly now given shown me my first steps to these methods of which I shall shortly adopt and employ.

Overall it has been a great read, fantastically well written, great use of appropriately fittingly images throughout the ebook and it was certainly presented in an very easy to digestable way – unlike other interenet marketing books I have read.

Yours truly got straight to main point unlike other internet marketers who bombard you with hot faff and never get close to the main point, until 5 pages later down the line

Anyway I look forward to your future ebook and keep up the great work.

All the best
Nigel

It took me a while to figure it out, but I think that I am getting there.

I’m still struggling to get my ppp up though.

Anyway I have now managed to move my hosting over to my own website, so would you update my details on your blogroll please?

Hi Adam

What a great idea, I’m thankful we have so many talented people in our coaching group. We’ve got lots of different levels of experience amongst the group. You really do have great business sense and I know you’ll continue to do well online and off line. I’m really enjoying Alex’s course, I’ve been dabbling in the IM community for many years and never got serious about it until I bought Alex’s coaching course and I’m dead serious about it now. I’m thankful that Alex is so determined to see all of us become successful internet marketers. You have a great blog full of great info, thanks for sharing. I’m signing up for your ebook and videos.
I’ve added your blog to my blog roll and I’d appreciate you doing the same for me when you get a chance.
Best wishes in all your business efforts and thanks again,
Kevin Griffith
