Live the life you deserve–the key to happiness!

Debt Free??

The key to happiness?!?!?

I saw this advertisement on the side of the road a few months ago while I was driving, and I couldn’t help but stop and stare—

Live Debt Free—Bankrupt!?!?

Is that really the answer?

Is it really going to make you happy?

Or are you going to be back at the same place where you were, doing the same things, getting into the same mess all over again?

There isn’t a magic wand that you can wave to make your life perfect and have all the happiness and money you want in your life.

Even winning the lottery–did you know that 80% of lottery winners file for bankruptcy within 5 years?

On the other hand, would you like to find out the REAL WAY to create the life you desire and deserve?

Here’s an email I received yesterday–

“Hey Adam,
I am going to try to identify my dream job and calling in life. Can you send me some of the material you used that helped you identify what you wanted to do? “

Sure thing—I would suggest starting off by specifically asking yourself:

  1. What can you be the best in the world at?
  2. What drives your economic engine? (profit per X in your business)–it has to make you money, or else it is just a hobby…
  3. What are you deeply passionate about? What would you do even if you weren’t making any money to do it?

This is what Mike Filsaime refers to as the “Hedgehog Concept.”

The place where those 3 areas intersect is your sweet spot, and that is where you want your business to be.

Also start thinking about your ideal life– your ideal personal life and your ideal business .

If you could have ANYTHING in those areas, what would it be? How would it be? How would you be? How would it not be? What would you do IDEALLY?

I can tell you that finding and specifically detailing your ideal life is the most liberating experience you can ever have!

The shame is that most of us (myself included previously) just float around from one thing to another.

Often times we don’t realize it, but we CAN create our own reality. Most people don’t know WHAT they want though, and that is the first step–define what it is you want (your vision), then you can start working on a plan to get there.

As far as planning, you start with the end in mind and then work backwards–listing all the things you need to do to reach your goal and when you need them by. Break your goal down into manageable chunks–I like 30 and 90 day goals because I’m a quick starter and I work better at sprinting to my goals.
